These are the people that make up Living Landscapes and a little information about them, including most importantly how they like their brews!

Andy Offord: Partner

(Black coffee, one sugar)

Andy graduated from the University of Bath with an Honours Degree in Horticulture in 1983, specialising in amenity horticulture. With a background in commercial horticulture, having grown up on a market garden, and with over 6 years spent in retail management working for Hurrans Garden Centres, Andy, with his wife Alison, set up Living Landscapes in 1989. Having started his own business, within 12 months he set about building his own house. Now, with nearly 30 years of practical landscaping experience as well, Andy can find a solution to most landscaping or gardening problems!

Alison Offord: Partner

(White coffee, one sugar)

Alison, married to Andy for more than 30 years now, started her working life at Dowty's in Gloucester before moving to work for the Halifax Building Society. During the early years of the business, Alison spent a lot of her time working on the market garden side of the business, as well as looking after the administration. Working part time in the business now, she goes out on the gazebo and car port installations that Living Landscapes undertake for Jagram/ Live Outside.

Chris King: Landscape Manager

(White tea, no sugar)

Chris started his working life on a fruit farm before progressing to Hurrans Garden Centres. He was managing the shrub department at their Churchdown branch when Andy offered him a position at Living Landscapes in 1990. Armed with a good working knowledge of plants Chris went on to develop his construction skills working with Andy. After 18 years with Living Landscapes Chris took the decision to go out on his own. Due to changes in his personal life, Chris rejoined Living Landscapes in 2014 and is now responsible for day to day management of the teams. Chris has a fine eye for detail and always ensures that projects are finished to the highest standard.

Mike Howells: Skilled Landscaper

(White tea, no sugar)

Mike first joined Living Landscapes from a manufacturing environment. He started in 2006 but left after just over a year to return to his old employer.  The pull was too strong though and he rejoined us in 2011 to enjoy the delights of creating gardens once more. Mike is multi-skilled and capable in all the various aspects of garden construction. His work is always of the highest standard.

Ryan Morgan: Landscaper

(White coffee, two sugars)

Ryan joined us in 2013 as an apprentice. He attended Holme Lacy college to train in tree surgery, successfully completing the course. Since then Ryan has been building up his landscaping experience and has become accomplished in many of the skills required in the landscape industry.

Kieran Bignell: Landscaper

(White tea, one sugar)

Kieran first started with us in 2014. After 18 months he had an opportunity to try an alternative career path. Fortunately for us he prefers the outdoor life and after just over a year he returned to us with even more enthusiasm to add to his growing repertoire of landscaping skills. In addition to his landscaping work, he is also a Retained Firefighter in Newent. Lets hope that the only time you see him on your property on the end of a hose he's only watering in plants!

Alex Braithwaite: Landscaper

(White coffee, one sugar)

Alex started with us in November 2017, having relocated from Chippenham to the Forest of Dean. He has had over 10 years of experience in the landscape industry. Known to the lads as 'Bert', much of his previous work was in garden maintenance and soft landscaping, however his hard landscaping experience is building rapidly (no pun intended!).

Dominic Quaeck: Landscaper

(White tea, no sugar)

Hailing originally from the Channel Islands, Dom joined us at the end of 2017. Trained in graphic design, experienced in garden maintenance and having worked in Australia on an avacado orchard, harvested grapes in Jersey, and volunteered on an off-grid subsistence community farm in Wales, Dom brings many transferable skills with him. When he has a spare moment, our very own Jersey Boy loves surfing and playing the drums, although not usually at the same time!

Phil Boswell: Gardener

(White coffee, no sugar)

Phil undertakes our routine garden maintenance rounds. He is usually the one mowing lawns and tending borders.  He joined us in August 2014, a complete career change for him as he was previously a prison nurse! Over his first full season working in our clients gardens Phil has gained quite a number of fans. More than he's likely to have outside of work- Phil is a football referee in his spare time!

Other members of the team you may meet if you visit The Watershed:

Chris Hale: Shop Manager

Chris started with us in 2007 and is responsible for running the retail side of our business: The Watershed Paving and Aquatic Centre and The Petshed. Chris worked in retail in Gloucester before joining us when our shop was in Staunton. He was part of the team that relocated The Watershed and Staunton Stone over to Hereford.
